Article Processing Charges

The Chemistry and Materials journal publishes all accepted articles as fully open access under a CC BY license, ensuring they are freely available immediately upon publication. Manuscripts submitted on or before 31 December 2025 are exempt from publication fees, as all associated costs are fully covered by the Center for Science Innovation.

To ensure the sustainability of this open-access publishing model, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 200 will apply to manuscripts submitted from 1 January 2026 onward. This fee may be covered by the author, their funder, or their institution and is only required upon editorial acceptance of an article. There are no charges for article submission, article length, or rejected manuscripts. However, authors who do not receive research funding or grants for their publication may apply for an APC waiver or a discount of up to 100%. Applications must be submitted to the editorial staff within seven days of article submission, referencing the submission code.

The APC covers online publication only. Hard copies of the journal may be ordered by contacting the editorial office at info@piscience.org. Corresponding authors affiliated with institutions in Indonesia may request one complimentary printed copy of the issue in which their article is published.
